If you're interested in working together, you can reach out through the contact form on this website. I offer a brief phone call to assess fit and answer any initial questions before scheduling a full evaluation. If we decide to move forward, intake documents will be sent in advance to complete before the first session.
Please note that availability may be limited depending on clinical volume.

I specialize in early childhood through young adulthood and also offer psychiatric care for individuals navigating fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. My approach is developmentally informed and tailored to the needs of each stage. If you're unsure whether your child or family is a fit for this practice, feel free to reach out.
For adult patients with whom I’ve had a treatment relationship in the past year, I’m happy to make space for continued care on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out directly so we can discuss the best path forward.

Yes. I offer a limited number of appointments on Saturdays between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. This option can be helpful for families who need flexibility outside of school or work hours.
Availability is limited, so I encourage booking in advance if you’d like to reserve a weekend time.

Family Minds is currently a hybrid practice. All appointments are available via secure video, and virtual care is the most common format at this time.
I plan to offer limited in-person appointments in the South Bay area in the near future. If you’re interested in meeting in person, feel free to reach out for the most current availability.

That’s absolutely an option. While I’m trained in both psychotherapy and medication management, some patients engage in therapy without using medication. We’ll determine together what kind of support is most appropriate.
Please note that therapy-only spots are limited, and I may refer you to a trusted therapist if I believe your needs would be better supported in that format.

Family Minds is an out-of-network practice, which means I do not bill insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service.
To make the process easier, I’ve partnered with Reimbursify, a tool that helps families submit claims for out-of-network reimbursement. After each visit, you’ll receive a superbill (a detailed receipt) that can be uploaded directly into the app or submitted through your insurance provider.
If you're not sure whether you have out-of-network benefits, I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking what your plan covers for mental health visits with an out-of-network psychiatrist.

I require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments without notice, will be charged the full session fee.
This policy allows me to offer that time to other families who may be waiting for care. Thank you for understanding.

Yes. Once care is established, all clinical communication takes place through the secure patient portal. You can use the portal to send messages, view upcoming appointments, access billing information, and complete forms.
If you have a brief question, need to share an update, or are requesting a refill, you’re welcome to message me between appointments. If your concern is more clinically complex or would benefit from a fuller discussion, I may recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or need immediate care, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Yes, with some exceptions. Like all providers, I am a mandated reporter and must act if there’s concern for harm. For minors, we’ll talk about what confidentiality means and how information is shared.
-
Yes. I regularly coordinate with therapists to ensure care is aligned and cohesive. For children and adolescents, this may also include pediatricians, schools, and other specialists. For perinatal patients, I often collaborate with OB/GYNs, reproductive endocrinologists, and additional members of the reproductive care team. This approach helps ensure support is consistent across all settings.

If we’ve worked together in the past year and you’re interested in reestablishing care, I may be able to offer a streamlined return process. In many cases, a new intake isn’t needed. I also offer a continuity of care rate for returning patients. Please contact me directly for more information.

That depends on your child’s age and the reason for treatment. For younger children, active parent involvement is essential to ensure effective care. For teens and young adults, I include caregivers in developmentally appropriate ways while also respecting the patient’s privacy and growing independence.
Please note that for any visit involving medication treatment planning, both the child and a caregiver must be present for at least part of the session. This is an important part of safe clinical care. If a child is seen alone, I ask that a caregiver remain reachable during the session in case any urgent concerns arise.
For families seeking out-of-network reimbursement through insurance, most plans require that the child be present in order for psychiatric services to be covered.

Yes. I offer one-time consultations for diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, parenting concerns, or school-related questions, even if ongoing care isn’t needed. These appointments are structured similarly to an initial evaluation and include a follow-up visit to review impressions and recommendations.
